We understand your world

The weight your charity communications carries is unlike anything in the commercial world.

Behind every video brief you hold is a real person’s story. A family navigating illness. A young person finding their way. A habitat teetering on the edge. You’re not selling a product – you’re asking people to care, to act, to believe.

And you’re doing it with scrutinised budgets, restricted funding conditions, and trustees who need evidence of return.

We’ve worked in this space long enough to know that great charity filmmaking is built on genuine understanding – of your cause, your audience, and the real people at the heart of your work. And we do our best work alongside organisations that believe authentic storytelling genuinely changes outcomes.

We hear this often.

“Our films don’t do justice to the real change we create. They feel flat and our supporters aren’t connecting with them the way we know they could.”

And this..

“When real people share their stories with us, they’re placing enormous trust in our organisation. Finding a production partner we can extend that trust to — confidently and without hesitation — isn’t something we take lightly.”

And this..

“We’re competing for grant funding against charities with bigger comms budgets. Our impact is stronger – but their storytelling is more compelling.”

“We don't make videos. We build belief in your cause, your organisation, and the change you're you’re creating.”

Majestical - Video & Animation for UK Charities

Stories we've helped bring to life.

Every project below was built around real human moments – not scripted performances or stock‑footage shortcuts.

B Corp certified Video Production.

Impact by design. Always.

Our B Corp certification means our commitment to positive impact is verified, not just stated. We’ve intentionally designed a responsible creators manifesto which includes a set of values and commitments that show up in how we work every day.

As standard, we offer a 20% discount on all production costs to UK registered charities. We plan every production with carbon impact in mind – working with UK-based crew where possible, minimising travel, and reducing waste on set. We subscribe to the Prompt Payment Code (PPC) which means everyone is paid fairly and on time, and we’re transparent about the suppliers and collaborators we work with.

Beyond individual projects, we actively invest in the next generation, environmental restoration and local charitable causes (read more about our #ReelKind initiatives here). We’re also a proud member of Charity Comms, which keeps us learning and held to best practice standards in charity communications.

And if you ever need to evidence the environmental or ethical credentials of your production for a grant report or funder, we can provide documentation to support that. None of this is performance. It’s just how we work.

We build trust before we pick up a camera. Every story we tell is rooted in truth – never manufactured for effect.

We have robust safeguarding and consent frameworks. The people in your films are treated as individuals with agency – never as props for a narrative.

We understand restricted funding, trustee accountability, comms teams of one, and the pressure of representing real lives. We have lived experience of the challenges you’re facing.

Were not a transaction. We become an extension of your team – invested in your mission and growing our understanding of your cause over time.

Why work with us.

Good work, in charity communications, means something more .

Mission‑driven work demands more than technical skill. It demands a genuine understanding of what is at stake for your cause, your organisation, and the people at the heart of your story. These are the principles that shape every charity project we take on

Production process

Rigorous, sensitive, collaborative.

We follow a production process designed specifically for the charity sector — where safeguarding, consent and dignity are not afterthoughts, but foundations.

1

Discovery

What does your audience need to feel?

Before we discuss format, duration or style, we immerse ourselves in your cause. We want to understand your supporters, your beneficiaries and — most importantly — the change in thinking or behaviour this film needs to create. We also take time to understand your safeguarding requirements and consent framework from the very start.

2

Script & structure

The story takes shape

We build a clear, review‑friendly script that keeps your outcomes at the centre of every line. Charity storytelling demands particular care — every word is weighed against the dignity and agency of the real people whose lives it represents. You stay in control throughout.

3

Design & style

The visual world is agreed.

Before a single frame is produced or a shoot is planned, the visual approach is confirmed with you. Whether we are filming real people, using animation to protect identities, or combining both, every creative decision is made in service of the story and the people it needs to reach.

4

Production

The project comes to life.

Whether we are filming with real beneficiaries, animating complex ideas, or combining both, this is where care and craft come together. Organised, sensitive and focused — with regular check‑ins so you always know where your project stands.

5

Delivery

Ready to move people.

Every piece is delivered in the formats your platforms need, optimised for the audiences you are trying to reach. The project does not end at delivery. You will receive our publishing support materials and full follow‑up support.

What our charity clients say

Kind words from people whose work we deeply admire.

Common charity video production questions

The things most charities ask us before they get in touch.

Our charity projects typically start at £5,000. We offer transparent, structured pricing – download our charity service deck for full pricing details. (this should link to the download section on this page)

Many of our clients use restricted funds for video and animation commissions. We can provide detailed scoping documents, itemised quotes and stage-payment structures that align with typical grant reporting requirements.

Carefully and always. We have established consent and safeguarding frameworks for filming with beneficiaries. We will never put a vulnerable person on camera without appropriate processes in place – and we will advise you if a proposed approach raises any concerns. Read this article which explains the consent and safeguarding framework we build into these kinds of productions.

Possibly, yes. We work with charities from a range of sizes. Download our service deck to see our pricing tiers, or get in touch to talk through what might be possible within your budget. We will always tell you honestly if we are not the right fit.

Yes – animation is a significant part of what we do, and is particularly valuable for charities working with sensitive topics where filming beneficiaries directly is not appropriate, or for communicating complex systems and data in an accessible way.

Most projects run between 6 and 12 weeks from brief to delivery, depending on complexity. If you have a grant deadline or campaign launch date, tell us upfront – we plan backwards from your timeline, not ours.

We’d love to talk things through before you commit to anything.
